Dr. Robert Rescot, P.E. is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University Calumet. Dr. Rescot received a bachelors and masters degrees both in civil engineering from the University of Missouri in 2005 and 2007 respectively, and completed his Ph.D. in civil engineering at the University of Kansas in 2011. He is also a registered professional engineer in the state of Illinois.
Dr. Rescot’s research interests and background are specialized in the field of transportation engineering. His areas of emphasis are on traffic flow, roundabouts, highway safety, intelligent transportation systems, work zone operations, railroads, and simulation modeling. He currently serves the National Academy of Science’s Transportation Research Board (TRB) as a member of the Roundabout Committee (ANB75), and the Highway/Rail Grade Crossings Committee (AHB60).
